Instructions

1
Wing Preparation
Rinse the chicken wings and pat dry thoroughly. Separate wings into flats and drumettes, removing and discarding the wing tips. Season the flats and drumettes evenly with salt and pepper.
-
2
Grill Setup
Charcoal: Light a charcoal chimney and allow the coals to heat for about 10 minutes until fully ignited. Heat Zones: Create a one-zone grill by pouring the hot coals evenly in the grill. Temperature: Preheat the grill to 350–450°F, ideal for even cooking.
-
3
Cooking Process
Arrange the wings on the indirect heat side of the grill, positioning the drumettes closest to the coals but not over the coals. Cover the grill and cook at approximately 400°F for 7–8 minutes. Flip, cover again, and cook an additional 7–8 minutes, until the wings are cooked through. Move the wings over direct heat to crisp the skin, turning frequently for 10–12 minutes. Watch closely to prevent burning.

Sauce Preparation
Warm Dr. D’s Original Barbeque Sauce in a saucepan over low heat. Do not allow the sauce to burn.
-
5
Finishing
Once the wings are golden brown and crispy, transfer to a serving container. Pour the warm barbeque sauce over the wings, tossing to coat evenly.
